Originally a New York club, this very popular nightspot recently celebrated their 8th birthday. Not many businesses can boast with a long run like this, and not many clubs can get people in the door every night like this place does. A great bar, stylish crowd and good music is the recipe for a great night. Qbar is also one of the main venues for top international Dj’s and acts when they are touring in this part of the globe. LTJ Bukem, Jazzy Jeff, Danny Howells and Ice T to name just a few have all lifted the roof here.
Famed for having one of the best stocked bars in the city you will find an extensive choice of beverage, drinks are not cheap (Check the promotions that are always running), but the staff know how to mix a quality cocktail. Upstairs there is another uber cool lounge bar with comfortable seating and stylish decor, it’s a little quieter up there and a lot less busy as the dance floor usually gets super packed.
If you’re looking for some fresh air in chilled surroundings during the night, you can choose to relax outside on the roof terrace, soak up the night’s sky or just watching out for some cute guys/girls arriving. The djs spin house, electro, drum’n’bass depending on what night you visit and monthly events with international acts are definitely worth checking out.
November 06’ saw Bangkok’s first DJ festival, Qbar teamed up with Bed and 5 nights of revelry were enjoyed by many, who skipped from one club to the other, choosing which international acts they favored to party with. A huge success by all accounts and we wait in hope for the 2nd later this year. Generally 500THB inc 2 drinks week nights and 600THB Weekends inc 2 drinks, special event admission varies.
