Gazebo is a cracking new venue with a double scoop of flavour right at the start of the Sukhumvit clubbing strip. In essence it’s two venues seamlessly blended into one, perfectly balanced by charismatic style and décor.
Entrance is gained via a red carpet walk, followed by an elevator ride to the 4th floor rooftop level in which you exit into the lounge area. A large sheesha bar (many exotic and wonderful flavours to be sampled) is one of the unusual and a somewhat unexpected feature that instantly catches you eye when you are taken by your hostess through to your table. Moroccan/Arabic is most certainly the theme throughout the club and it’s done to perfection. The stone work and architecture is spot on, coupled with the draping ceiling cloth, Arabesque lighting and furnishings your forgiven for thinking you are no longer in Bangkok, until that is the sky train cruises past the open fronted lounge area.
Live bands are served up every night in the Gazebo lounge and they are all head rocking, foot stomping and air guitaringly good. The lounge also features two pool tables, great views of the downtown area and smoking is permitted as the area is open sided.
Towards the later stage of the evening the second section of the venue situated in a more typical indoor nightclub fires into action, switching up a gear from a live band to a live DJ.
In keeping with the style the transition into the nightclub section doesn’t miss out one bit. A rich coating of fabrics, glass, wood and ceramics have been used to create a very high standard entertainment area inside, giving you the sense and feeling of once again being somewhere you are not. At the back resides an opulent VIP seating snug for around 70 people, ideal for intimate nights out and cozy chats.
This is a great late night club to party the night away with friends, expect good quality dance/hip-hop and pop music throughout the week and arrive early to get seating in this section as it fills up fast especially at weekends. |
