Its been 20 years since the birth of the HOUSE music movement, so we thought what better way to celebrate that fact and have a good old RAVE up.....
Our goal is to recreate those halcyon days of aciiieeed house through QUALITY MUSIC, DECOR and ATMOSPHERE;-)
This night is aimed at OLD SKOOL lovers that just yearn for those UPLIFTING beats and the NU-COOL crowd that are just curious to SEE what the fook it was ALL about back in the day and get RIGHT on it :-) ACIIIEEED!!!
Some say the electronic dance music scene began all the way back in 1988 after 5-like minded people traveled to the Balearic Island of IBIZA to witness the “SUMMER OF LOVE’, it kick started a global movement fusing whole generations together to this very day.
From its early beginnings at a club called HEAVEN in Central London the infamous night SPECTRUM was born, pioneering partners, DJ’s Paul OAKENFOLD, Colin HUDD and Jonny WALKER quickly found themselves playing to euphoric packed dance floors night after night, so much so that a plethora of DJ’s also wanted to become part of this phenomenon, house hold names now like Lisa Loud, Terry Farley, Nancy Noise and Trevor Fung were queuing up to spin!
Within a very short space of time this led to pioneers Paul and Colin supporting U2 on their Zooropa tour.[see photo under]
It became inevitable that Colin would turn to producing his own music. He worked as the Manic MCs and Audio Deluxe, whilst remixing PP Arnold, Billy Idol and a host of well-respected artists.
He moved to Singapore to open the Velvet Underground in 1994 and having played a number of gigs there he packed his record box and headed for New York where he played the Palladium. Since then Colin has graced turntables from Pacha Ibiza to a packed Olympic stadium in Berlin and Dublin’s Pod and the rest as they say is history.
