DJ M.F.R. resides in San Francisco, California, U.S.A. His musical history began at the early age of 18 when he began to djing in Rome.

If you know about house music in the Bay Area, then you know who DJ MFR is.

His journey started in Rome, his country of birth, where his love for the music sparked a love affair that would eventually have him traveling the world. Currently residing in San Francisco, which has been his home for the past 9 years, he quickly grew to prominence on the club circuit, gaining immediate respect from his dj peers.

While doing so, his interest in producing started to grow, and he decided to take the next step in his musical evolution: producing. In 1997, along with friends Miguel Mig's and Bruno Ybarra of Naked Music fame, he founded Transport Recordings. Now a well-established indie dance label with excellent underground dance music, the label has garnered a large and loyal following with a roster that has showcased such heavyweights as DJ Rasoul, Vincent Kwok, Arnold Jarvis, and Mig's and MFR themselves.
With West Coast Excursion, the first mix CD on the label, MFR seamlessly blended the label's releases into a perfect capsule of the San Francisco sound

When not producing for the label, DJ MFR also finds time to showcase his skills on other labels such as Tilted Records, Eight fifteen Recordings, Equal, Cosmic Flux, Moulton Studios and Bluem, to name but a few. His range is limitless. Whether it's peak time pumping hard house or sexy 2am vocal house, smoothed out with some hip-hop driven down tempo--you name it, he can do it!

In recent years DJ MFR together with San Francisco based producer Vincent Kwok started a production called "NEW MONDO" with the first two releases highlighting the darker side of the production pair. The duo have been gathering much critical response, appearing in publications such as DJ Magazine's hype chart.

As a dj, he can be seen and heard spinning at some of the biggest clubs in San Francisco and around the globe. His CD Afterdark, released on the Kinkysweet label has charted in the Billboard Electronic Charts and has also led to numerous interviews in prestigious dance magazines such as BPM. His newest compilation series spotlights the vibrant dance music scenes from around the world; "Rome Departure" is a 2 disc set featuring music from the most respected house labels and producers in the world including Miguel Mig's, Alex Neri, Jay-J, Halo, Frank Rogers, and DJ MFR himself just to name a few. The second CD contains unmixed DJ friendly songs which include both previously released and exclusive unreleased original productions from DJ MFR himself. This cd is dedicated to all the singers and producers who have collaborated with DJ MFR showcasing the fun journey that he has been on!

Morrisson

In the world of dance music, Morrisson is a name that is becoming increasingly popular with the rise of the deep, soulful House Music scene. He is very involved in its current growth as a new vocalist, songwriter and producer!

California native, representing San Francisco, Morrisson has had a love for music from day one. “Music is not really something I ever made a conscious decision to get into. Like some kids naturally love baseball, I just naturally love music. Music, in general, has been a driving force in my life for as long as I can remember."

"Here comes the one you've been looking for", the opening lyrics to Morrisson’s new 2008 release "After My Love," are synonymous with his emergence onto the San Francisco house music scene. His first release, the 131 bpm disco-house track "Love of My Life", received instant support from San Francisco radio and club DJ's nationwide which would eventually lead to his achieving top 15 chart position in Billboard Magazine. In 2003 Morrisson’s resume received a huge star when he met veteran house music DJ and producer Julius Papp during a recording session. While continuing to produce his own tracks, he began laying vocals and writing songs with Papp, eventually finding his niche in deep, soulful house. The result earned him his first spot as a featured vocalist and co-writer on Papp's NeoDisco release "Fall For You." Morrisson continues to write and perform vocals for upcoming releases from New Mondo (Vincent Kwok & DJ MFR), Finna, Groove Junkies, and Stereofunk as well as producing his own tracks such as the 2006 release of "You Can't Go Wrong" and 2007's "So Cool."

While dance music has always been Morrisson's first love, his ambitions and talents have also landed him in TV commercials, on-camera co-host spots for Macy's, Voice-over characters in independent films (including the upcoming "Flower Fokes," and, as he puts it, "if you don't blink" he can even be seen as an extra in the "La Vie Boheme" sequence of the movie "RENT."

Morrisson's passion for house music is defined in his own words with, “Dance music of all kinds, whatever kind of music makes you dance, is not just about movement of the body. It's also about movement of the soul and inspiration of the mind…all which is led by the rhythm of the heart. And since the heart is all about living and what you love, you should follow yours and lead your own way....to a dance floor near you."
