The magic happened in his bedroom rooted back when he was only 9 years old in western suburb of Chicago, Illinois. Carter has found his passion in DJing since young age and gradually made his way to be listed in top DJs. Later in his teenage years, Carter has become a strong presence in Chicago’s underground dance scene.
Carter dj sets are influenced by black music of the 1970s, frequently extends ranges to old school disco, soul and jazz. As a remixer, he has worked for various artists including Human League, Modjo, DJ Sneak and Röyksopp.
Carter is also recognized as the creator of the "Boompty" tech house sound. The sound is the prevalent underground house sound of the early and mid 2000's. Characterized by the shuffle of the drums and a rolling bassline accented by quirky tech sounds. After several mixes and successful recognition in House industry, he still prefers to remain underground as keeps himself a low profile.
