As time progressed so did Mikes love of all things soulful in terms of music. Influenced by the sounds of Detroit & Philadelphia he began to put together a great collection of US soul and at the tender age of 18 began his DJ career by opening a dance night within the local youth club in London. Soon the love & appreciation of music had meant that a rather large record collection had been amassed along with a reputation for playing good music. More work was to come in the London area with regular pub & small club residencies.

Mike then moved just north of London and this is when things really started to happen as the soul & jazz funk scene had really started to become a major underground musical force in the UK. It was not long before a weekly club under the banner of HUSTLER’s was established and made a major impact on the local dance scene. The club gained national acclaim with people travelling far & wide to attend the regular Sunday night sessions and all of the top UK DJ’s of the time appearing there.

The venue again played host to some memorable nights and from here Mike ended up working with the likes of Tom Browne, Incognito, Heatwave, Light of the World plus many more great live artists. In addition there were guest appearances on radio and further guest spots around the UK. With more exposure came the chance of a new residency. Housed inside a 30-meter high glass pyramid THE CLUB was to become one of the premier venues in the early days of House music in the UK. Working with DJ’s such as Pete Tong & ‘Evil’ Eddie Richards plus acts like Tyree Cooper, Farley ‘Jackmaster’ Funk, Adonis, LA Mix, and many more Mike was at the forefront of introducing House music in the UK.

In the early 90’s he decided to take a break from being a DJ and left the UK for the exotic climes of Thailand. Taking nearly a 10-year sabbatical he finally picked up his headphones and started playing out again. The sound is eclectic ranging from all things soulful & jazzy in terms of House to pure full on modern soul & jazz. He was resident at TAPAS Bar in Bangkok (the home of House music in Thailand) every Friday night for four years and then moved over to MET BAR where he played on a Friday.

He has also been responsible for bringing DJ’s such as Lenny Fontana, Knee Deep, Ralph Tee (Expansion Records), Crico Castelli , Gavin ‘Face’ Mills (aka Copyright / Coffee Kids), Ron Carroll, Martin Solveig, DJ Spen, Joey Negro & Aaron Ross to Thailand in the last few years. He has also made guest appearances at numerous venues in Thailand including HU BAR, BED SUPPER CLUB, MYSTIQUE & MINT BAR.
